The United States Secretary of Commerce is the head of the United States Department of Commerce and is concerned with the business industry.1 This Department's mission is 'to foster, promote, and develop the foreign and domestic commerce.'1 Before 1938, the Department of Labor and the Department of Commerce were joined making the Secretary of Commerce and Labor.1
